College football fans snubbed right along with Buckeyes
College football fans: I hope you’re ready for Alabama-Louisiana Lafayette next season, because the College Football Playoff committee just gave the green light for more snoozers like that one.
The committee opted to place Alabama (11-1) in the four-team postseason field over Ohio State (11-2) on Sunday, this just hours after the Buckeyes beat Wisconsin for a Big Ten title, 27-21. The Crimson Tide, on the other hand, lost last weekend to their rival Auburn and didn’t even make their conference championship game. FULL STORY

Toledo will face Appalachian State in Dollar General Bowl
Fresh off its Mid-American Conference championship, the University of Toledo football team learned Sunday it will be playing in the Dollar General Bowl on Dec. 23 in Mobile, Ala.
The opponent will be Appalachian State (8-4) in a rematch of last year’s dramatic Raycom Media Camellia Bowl the Mountaineers won 31-28. FULL STORY

Michigan-South Carolina set for Outback Bowl
Michigan is bound for Florida.
The Wolverines (8-4) will play South Carolina (8-4) at noon New Year’s Day in the Outback Bowl in Tampa, marking the sixth time in the past decade UM’s season will end in a Sunshine State bowl game.
“We’re excited as heck to be coming down to the Outback Bowl,” Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said. “We’re excited about the competition against South Carolina. Hard football team. I’ve been watching them a little bit. They’re tough, they’re really well-coached.” FULL STORY
