Toledo woman pleads guilty in drunken-driving crash

BOWLING GREEN — A Toledo woman charged in a fatal drunken-driving crash entered guilty pleas this week in Wood County Common Pleas Court.

Meisha Stone, 21, of the 1800 block of West Central Avenue pleaded guilty Monday to amended counts of reckless homicide and operating a vehicle after underage consumption for a June 11, 2016, crash that killed Kayla Gilden, 22, of Cincinnati, a passenger in her car, 

Judge Reeve Kelsey scheduled her sentencing for Sept. 10.

Stone, who was 19 at the time, was northbound on I-75 between I-475 and State Rt. 582 south of Toledo when her vehicle went off the right side of the road, got back on, struck the concrete median, and overturned.
