Straight to it, our crack area college football picks for Week 12:

1. Toledo (8-2, 5-1) at Bowling Green (2-8, 2-4), 8 p.m., Wednesday, ESPNU, Line: Toledo by 17: To answer the question in the headline, uh, no. Here’s guessing Bowling Green won’t like the Rockets when they’re mad. Normally, we would be more inclined to buy the old toss-out-the-records rivalry talk, especially given the scare a a similarly staggered Falcons team gave Toledo last season. But with the Rockets coming off a humbling defeat at Ohio, expect them to be ungracious visitors. Pick: Toledo 44, Bowling Green 20.

2. No. 19 Michigan (8-2, 5-2) at No. 5 Wisconsin (10-0, 7-0), Noon, Saturday, Fox, Line: Wisconsin by 7.5: Michigan fans: Bucky hasn’t beaten anybody! Talk about overrated! [Looks in mirror.] Oh, right. This should be a good one, but make it 0-3 for the Wolverines against teams with a winning record. Pick: Wisconsin 17, Michigan 13. 

3. Illinois (2-8, 0-7) at No. 8 Ohio State (8-2, 6-1), 3:30 p.m. Saturday, ABC, Line: Ohio State by 40: Wait a minute, who gave the Buckeyes a bye the week before The Game? Pick: Ohio State 45, Illinois 7.
