Discounted dog adoption fees on "Fur-i-day the 13th"

The Lucas County Canine Care & Control Center in Toledo will host an adoption special Friday.
The Lucas County Canine Care & Control will have a flash adoption special Friday.
The one-day “Fur-i-day the 13th” event will reduce adoption fees for all dogs to $13 during regular business hours, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Adopters also must buy a $25 county dog license as required by state law.
All October — except Friday — the shelter will charge its special fee of $75 a dog for Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. View dogs at lucascounty dogs.com, or the 410 S. Erie St. shelter near downtown.
