Dogs killed June 12 under the direction of Richard Stewart, director of the Lucas County Canine Care & Control:

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

“Pit bull,” white female, unlicensed; tried to bite shelter staff; stray taken to shelter May 31 by Nicole Traxler, McKinley Avenue, Toledo, from McKinley Avenue, Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, white female, unlicensed; bit a canine control officer; stray picked up June 1 by a control officer at 3712 W. River Rd., Toledo.

Boxer, white and tan female, unlicensed; fearful/​unsafe; surrendered June 8 by Jeri Hrynciw, Foraker Avenue, Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, tan and white male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (ill, seizing); surrendered June 12 by Glenn Powell, Burton Avenue, Toledo.

Boxer/​chow chow mix, black and white female, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (bite history); surrendered June 12 by Anthony Barrera, Oswald Street, Toledo.
