Lourdes program probes U.S. protesting

Lourdes University’s first lifelong learning program spring semester lecture is on American protesting.

Thomas Estrella, associate professor of psychology, and Dale Lanigan, university chairman of sociology and justice studies, will explore free speech and public debate from 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 19 in the Franciscan Center, 6832 Convent Blvd. Lifelong learning members and first-time visitors pay no fee.

Emily Avery of United Way of Greater Toledo will discuss ways to get involved during the 11:15 a.m talk. The program includes soup, sandwiches, and dessert. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
