Area high school games postponed by inclement weather

A number of local high school games postponed by snow, ice

A number of local high school basketball games have been postponed because of the winter weather in the Toledo area.

Postponements include Fremont Ross at Whitmer (boys), Napoleon at Perrysburg (boys and girls), Anthony Wayne at Northview (boys and girls), Rossford at Woodmore (boys), Otsego at Eastwood (boys), Elmwood at Fostoria (boys), and more. Scroll down for a full list of postponements and games that will go on as scheduled.

Previously scheduled NLL girls-boys doubleheaders featuring Springfield and Bowling Green as well as Maumee and Southview were moved up to Thursday night.

St. John’s Jesuit said all athletic events will continue as scheduled, including the home basketball rivalry game vs. St. Francis as coach Ed Heintschel goes for career win No. 699. 

In high school wrestling action, the Gold Medal Duals at Napoleon has been trimmed to a one-day event Saturday. The Maumee Bay Classic at Clay is under way.

The Toledo Walleye’s home game scheduled for 7:15 p.m. vs. rival Fort Wayne is expected to proceed as planned. The Mark Rasmus Memorial Invitational high school hockey tournament has an updated schedule.

One game already off the Saturday schedule is Rogers’ visit to Cincinnati Taft, which has been canceled.
