CLINTON, Mich. — Blissfield rallied for four fourth-inning runs to tie Michigan Center, 6-6, before Saturday’s Michigan Division 3 regional baseball semifinal was suspended because of rain at Clinton High School.

The game will resume at 1 p.m. Sunday, with Michigan Center (24-7) batting in the top of the fifth inning, with no outs and a runner on first base.

Blissfield (25-10) trailed 6-1 after two innings on the strength of the Cardinals’ five-hit, four-run first.

Michigan Center added two more in the second, chasing Royals starting pitcher Kendall Duval.

But Blissfield, which scored single runs in the first and third, added four more against suddenly-wild Cardinals starting pitcher Jordan Cooper.

After three walks mixed with a hit batsman forced in Blissfield’s third run, Jacob Nichols relieved Cooper and walked in another run.

Duval hit into a run-scoring double play, and the Royals’ Gavin Ganun beat out an infield single to score Dean Wyman with the tying run.

Wyman was on the mound for Blissfield when play was suspended, but cannot resume pitching Sunday because of pitch-count restrictions.

If the Royals win, they would advance to the regional final against Jonesville (22-12-2), which defeated Ann Arbor Greenhills 3-1 in the first regional semifinal here.
