Michigan State basketball strength coach charged in fatal crash

PETERSBURG, Mich. — A Michigan State University men's basketball associate coach is charged following a double-fatal crash in Monroe County.

Todd Moyer of Holt, Mich., was arraigned Monday in 1st District Court in Monroe. He is charged with reckless driving involving death and has since been released, according to the clerk’s office.

A pickup truck driven by Todd Moyer of Holt, Mich., struck the rear of another vehicle July 14 on U.S. 23 near Ida West Road, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

The crash killed occupants Gladys Johnson, 35, and Za-Kira Johnson, 5, both of Redford, Mich., officials said.
