Three Toledoans charged in Lucas County Common Pleas Court with multiple counts of aggravated robbery were indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury on more serious charges.

Donell Davis, 22, of the 200 block of Winthrop Street, was indicted on two counts of interference with commerce through threats of violence, two counts of brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Leeza Parker, 21, of the 1200 block of Oakwood Avenue, is charged with two counts of interference with commerce through threats of violence, while Tyron Parker, 19, of the same address is charged with one count of the same charge.

Federal prosecutors said Davis and the Parkers robbed Happy's Pizza on Dorr Street Sept. 22, and that Davis brandished a gun during the holdup. They also allege Davis and Leeza Parker robbed the Metro PCS on West Bancroft Street Oct. 12 and Davis again brandished a gun.

Jeff Lingo, chief of the criminal division of the Lucas County Prosecutor's Office, said the state charges likely would be dismissed now that the three defendants have been indicted in federal court.
