Now in its third year, the free community event features a variety of family friendly entertainment in addition to balloon-viewing. This includes helicopter rides, inflatables, live music, vendors, and fireworks.

Visitors likely  can catch the balloons in flight each day at 6:15 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., weather permitting, as well as in stationary evening “glows” between 9 and 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Competitive flights are set for 6:15 a.m. Saturday and Sunday; an evening flight is not scheduled on Sunday.

Free parking is available along Fremont Pike, in the parking lots of Meijer and Home Depot, with shuttles available to the site. For a full schedule or more information, go to glasscityballoonrace.com.
