Maumee Rec race to lap new Kazmaier Stadium turf

The Maumee Rec 5k Race/Walk is set for Saturday.
The 40th annual Maumee Rec 5k Race/Walk is set for Saturday, and this year’s event features a twist.
The altered route will take runners for a lap around the new turf installed at Kazmaier Stadium. The football stadium is undergoing significant renovations this summer.
Participants can register on race day at Maumee High School starting at 7:30 a.m. The race begins at 9 a.m. and benefits the Maumee Senior Center.
Registration is $20 per person and awards will be given to top finishers. The first 200 people to finish the race will receive a movie pass to the Maumee Indoor Theatre.
