For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

Shih Tzu, black male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (14 years old, aggressive/unsafe); surrendered Oct. 9 by Katherine Krupa, West Sterns Road, Bedford Township.

“Pit bull,” white and orange male; stray picked up Sept. 19 by a control officer at 1732 Calumet Ave., Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, black and white female; stray picked up Sept. 16 by a control officer at 414 Platt St., Toledo.

Brussels griffon, orange and white male; stray taken to shelter Sept. 25 by Katelyn Long, Utica Street, Toledo, from Utica Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” brown and white male; stray picked up Sept. 26 by a control officer at 322 Machen St., Toledo.

Field spaniel mix, black and white female; stray picked up Sept. 26 by a control officer at 1215 Waterville-Monclova Rd., Waterville.
