Mitchell hits milestone, No. 13 Ohio State women rip Rutgers

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Kelsey Mitchell scored 28 points on 10-of-13 shooting and reached another milestone to lead No. 13 Ohio State to a 90-68 win over Rutgers on Thursday night.

Mitchell, who was 5 of 6 from 3-point range, had four assists to surpass 500 for her career, making her just the fourth player in NCAA history with 3,000 points and 500 assists.

Sierra Calhoun scored 17 points for the Buckeyes (20-5, 9-3 Big Ten Conference) and Linnae Harper added 15. Stephanie Mavunga had her third straight double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, and Alexa Hart had 12 points.

Ohio State took charge in the second quarter with runs of 7-0 and 12-2 to lead 51-30 at the half.

The Buckeyes ended up 11 of 22 from 3-point range and shot 56 percent (32 of 57) overall.

Tyler Scaife had 27 points for the Scarlet Knights (18-8, 6-6).
