What happened: Indianapolis broke through for five runs in the third inning against Toledo starter Kyle Dowdy. Adam Frazier, Jose Osuna, and Kevin Kramer had RBI doubles and Jordan Luplow and Christopher Bostick had run-scoring singles. The Hens scored in the top of the sixth, when Jim Adduci drove in Dawel Lugo and Ronny Rodriguez on a double.

Indianapolis starter J.T. Brubaker was solid in 5⅓ innings, allowing two runs on six hits with five strikeouts and two walks. The Indians got 2⅔ innings of scoreless relief from Jesus Liranzo and Josh Smoker before Bo Schultz pitched a scoreless ninth for his first save of the season.
