Driver indicted in crash that injured 5

BOWLING GREEN — A Maumee man who allegedly drove a pickup into a landscaping crew in Perrysburg Township, injuring five people, has been indicted by a Wood County grand jury.

Christopher Bigelow, 56, was indicted on three counts of attempted murder and five counts each of felonious assault and vehicular assault for the Oct. 17 incident in the 2800 block of East River Road. He is to be arraigned Feb. 26 before Common Pleas Judge Reeve Kelsey.

Investigators said Mr. Bigelow had made a delivery and was returning to the work site about 2 p.m. when he struck and injured Paul Haase, Jr., 47, and Hector Flores, 22, both of Holland; Manual Flores-Montalvo, 25, of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico; Guadalupe Fonseca, 56, whose address is unknown, and Agostini Santiago-Amador, 45, of Toledo.
